Pet ID is run by ZRB Custom Crafts. This page explains what we keep and why.

What we store

When you register a pet we store your pet's details and photo, your name, mobile number, backup number, email, area, Facebook link (if you add one) and a securely hashed password. We use them only to show your pet's profile and to contact you about your pet.

What finders see

Anyone who taps or scans your pet's tag sees the profile. You choose whether it shows a call button (which uses your mobile number), a message button, your area and health notes. Messages sent through the message button reach you by email without showing your number or email to the finder. If you add your Facebook, finders can also message you on Messenger, which shows them your Facebook name and profile.

Tap alerts and location

We email you when your pet's tag is tapped (at most once every 10 minutes). A finder's location is only sent if they press "Share where you found me" and allow it on their phone, and it goes only to you.

Your choices

You can edit your pet's profile at any time from My pets. To delete your account and data, contact ZRB Custom Crafts and we will remove it.

Terms

Pet ID helps people contact you when your pet is found, but we can't guarantee a lost pet will be found or returned. Please keep your contact details up to date and only register tags you own.
